Wellness You Can Use Every Day
Home wellness has come a long way, and saunas are right at the centre of it. What used to mean a trip to a gym or day spa is now something people enjoy at home — and for good reason. Just Spas Forster stocks a range of infrared saunas at our Kularoo Drive showroom, from compact 1–2 person models through to 3–4 person units ideal for families. Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air to high temperatures, infrared models use radiant heat to warm the body directly — a gentler, more comfortable session you can stay in long enough to feel the benefit.
Two reasons infrared saunas have become a go-to for home wellness:
- They operate at lower temperatures than traditional saunas, making them accessible for people who find intense heat uncomfortable
- Far-infrared heat penetrates deeper into muscle tissue, supporting recovery, circulation and stress relief in a single session
Whether you're recovering from training, managing ongoing muscle tension or simply after a proper way to decompress, an infrared sauna delivers results you can feel. The range covers different sizes to suit most homes and budgets. Call us on (02) 6555 4455 to find out which model suits your space.
From Spare Room to Sanctuary
The range at Just Spas Forster includes models from the IR65 — a 1–2 person unit that suits a spare room, garage or outdoor entertaining area — through to the IR101, which comfortably seats 3–4 people and is a popular choice for families. Every unit is Australian electrical safety compliant, runs off a standard 10 amp power socket and can be assembled with two adults and no specialist tools. The infrared heating technology is energy-efficient by design, so running costs stay manageable even with regular use. For people who want to go further with their wellness setup, a sauna pairs well alongside a spa or plunge pool — contrast therapy using heat and cold has a strong following among athletes and anyone doing regular physical work.
If you're ready to explore the options, come in and see the range in person or get in touch and we'll help you work out what fits your space and lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between an infrared sauna and a traditional sauna?
The main difference is how the heat is generated and how it affects the body. Traditional saunas heat the air in the room to very high temperatures — often between 80 and 100 degrees Celsius — which in turn warms your body through convection.
Infrared saunas use infrared light to warm the body directly, bypassing the air, which allows them to operate at much lower ambient temperatures (typically 45–60°C) while still producing a meaningful sweat. Many people find infrared saunas more comfortable for longer sessions, and the deeper penetration of infrared heat is often cited as beneficial for muscle recovery and circulation.
How much space do I need for a home sauna?
It depends on the model, but most home infrared saunas are surprisingly compact. A 1–2 person unit like the IR65 typically measures around 1000 x 900mm in footprint, which fits comfortably in a spare room, a converted garage or a sheltered outdoor area.
Larger 3–4 person models need more floor space — around 1450 x 1040mm — but are still manageable in most homes. The key things to consider are a flat, stable and dry surface to install on and access to a standard 10 amp power point nearby.
Can infrared saunas be used outdoors?
Most infrared sauna models are designed primarily for indoor use, but they can be placed outdoors if they're in a properly sheltered area that protects them from rain, direct sun and moisture. A covered patio, verandah or outdoor room works well, provided the surface is flat, dry and stable.
Leaving a sauna fully exposed to the elements will shorten its lifespan significantly, so adequate weather protection is important. If outdoor placement is the goal, it's worth checking the specific model's guidelines and talking to the retailer about which units are best suited to semi-outdoor use.
